This statue is a valuable part of our history whether ANYONE likes it or NOT! The woman he kissed never thought this. In fact, they interviewed her several years later and she said she was flattered by it. The war was over. A time for celebration. I know what I heard from her interview. This was a different time. A time that most today have not experienced and therefore do not understand. our country is falling apart with all this sensitivity in every facet of life. We can blame mainstream media for this. They had very strong boundaries/ morals back then. Morals were much higher. There are many things today that would have been appalling to them back then.
