If this was any ordinary person they would have been locked up for terrorism and inciting violence. Just because he is the ex president and the republicans don’t want a stain on their party they are willing to stand aside and acquit a guilty man. Shouldn’t matter who he is / was. Thanks to the objection by Mike Lee ,the timeline now into evidence that while Congress attempted to save themselves, Trump ,rather than calling in aid chose to call Senators to continue fighting the electoral count.Then he tweeted against Pence.This is clear evidence of gross neglect of his duty and his promotion of sedition. The vote has been made thats its. He can’t be tried again for the same offence. Plus you cannot impeach a civilian, he is no longer the President. Maybe these people in Government need to resign or be retired. Dave Hillier even worse is if aquit for this kind of behavior then ANY president can behave the same way without consequences.
