I will say one more thing relevant to my comment. The real issue is no one wants to take accountability. My parents didn't and I had a brother go to prison and an older sister who abused me in all ways and is living accountability free. Don't assume I only put this on males, but I can guarantee my older sister was abused in her early life to have caused her to do what she did to my brother and I. I've had a man put his hands around my neck and throw me around and had my apt broke into by a family friends son who assaulted me and the family did nothing when I told them. The police did nothing because I couldn't get him to admit it on my own. I have a justified right to a comment.

  Introverts don’t care about that nonsense. Something good came out of this pandemic - "The physical meeting table disappeared, and with it went the hierarchical structure of the loud people gathered together at the centre and the introverts on the fringes" I was retired by the time the pandemic hit but before that I had the opportunity to work at home and this is one introvert who hated it! I felt like I was chained to my desk when I wanted to do other things and it was too quiet. I eventually returned to my nice secluded cubicle at the office. Perhaps it really rides on the primary objective of the disease that the introvert is not carrying. The extrovert tends to peak at their most effective skills while their disease is most transmittable.....therefore, completing their binary construction, in the first place. Corporate does not want to pay this much for their offices, so they divide you now to conquer you later. extravert  I find that I'm a lot more productive when working from home.

 The virus replicates quicker in unvaccinated people, increasing the chance of mutations. It is common sense when you are fully vaccinated you are unlikely to be hospitalized or die, sadly common sense is not a gift, it is a punishment because you have to deal with people who don’t have it. Anti vaxxers have all the problem with EVERY solution. And so as the healthy teenagers get infected, we should be happy. They are developing lasting immunity. That’s good for everyone right? There are other options to protect the elderly and vulnerable. I am sort of cautiously optimistic. The UAE have achieved an 87% vaccination rate; it took, however, almost 5 months for cases to drop dramatically to under 100 a day. Everything has been open but people wear masks and observe basic measures. I just think the UK situation will improve in a few months, if people don't get too lax with observing measures.

  There lies the problem no one is pro active anymore development regression is an "additional problem" . When kids have spent a third of their lives in lockdown, their routine and their entire world affected, their body and mind reacts in different ways. Kids don't know how to deal with the emotional side or communicate their feelings adequately so it can manifest in different ways. My son was potty trained by the time of the first lockdown and had a year regression after that. As far as toilet training, we did everything we could find recommended in every online parenting guidance and then some. Pull ups, reminders on a hourly basis, reward charts, bribes, and even using nappy liners in pants. It's a shame you take such a patronising approach when you have zero idea of individuals situations and have never had a childhood through a pandemic yourself. I'm sorry but children in key stage 1, 5/6 yr olds should be out of nappies and toilet trained.

 I've seen loads of people walk into places with posters asking for them to wear a mask and stroll around without one like they're so self-important. All those children gathering around bus stops where I live (Bullers Wood School!) Not only huddled together but only a couple out of 20-30 children at each bus stop wearing face, masks as for distancing. . At several bus stops. An estimated 1 out of 15 carrying covid! Technically they should not even get on a bus unmasked. Cher Davey the 3 other nations still wearing face masks in shops, restaurants and going in to any establishments As the article says - England need to make it compulsory. The problem with your statement there is it leaves out that a single touch of a dirty bottle will give you a handful of sanitiser, which should kill any germs you had on you, as well as from the bottle you just touched. Perhaps we should take control and start wearing masks again now before we're told to.

  The No Vaxes are rebelling unfortunately as the Green Pass is necessary for work and play. It's the comments like, 'I'm all right, it's never affected me, I worked throughout with no mask, I've never worn a mask, I'm never having a vaccine'. I know people who have died from it, I know people who have been hospitalised but got better eventually. Good for you if you have avoided it. Instead of taking the p*** you could just be grateful that you or your family are still here to see this Christmas. Rosemary Livesley what you say makes sense, yet here in South Africa (outside of Cape Town), it’s as though mandated were never passed, no one bothers with distancing, masks are not seen in our dense townships - and Covid just follows it’s waves irrespective of what we do. I can’t help. Thinking we need to work extra hard on a pro prophylaxis and early treatment them open up and get everything going again. Identify vulnerable to prophylax and treat anyone who gets symptoms early and robustly.

The GP crisis, like many other compounding crises in the NHS, has been building for years! The Tories have had a decade to sort it out and nearly all these problems have either been allowed to fester of have got much worse! I agree. Fortunately I haven't needed much medical care for the last few years but I have tried and tried and tried to make an appointment recently to no avail. finally got a message to say ring 111. I rang that and another message busy so try 111online. Did that and fed in my age and symptoms only for screen to turn red and say Call 999 and Get an Ambulance! I didn't need an ambulance but was in pain where I had pulled my back badly. Brigid Cusack sorry to hear your problems with getting help but I must commend you on using your intelligence and recognising that an ambulance call out was inappropriate. You are obviously one of the smarter users of this service, which unfortunately sees people utilising resources when they're not needed and putting unnecessary strain on the system.

 As a receptionist they don't want to ask these questions but it's part of their job and they are also bound by patient confidentiality. There's a lot more to a receptionists job than answering a phone. If you want to complain, complain to the GP partners and Practice Managers they are the people who instigate these questions. the reception team I worked never made any decisions. Anything they were concerned about was referred on. They have a tough job, it certainly opened my eyes about human nature. My worst helping a GP resuscitate a patient lying on the ground in the pouring rain outside the practice whilst another patient kicked off that he was having to wait to see that GP and how long was they going to be.

 Not everyone thinks alike and only need to know only what's in my home and life. I do not believe it will be as bad as stated. The varient is caused by people taking the vaccine and that is causing problems. The mutation from the vaccine like flue splits because we are all different. It also behaves like hay fever. It was already a mess last fall/winter with colds, flus and coronavirus here in the United States of America and it certainly could be again. Children under age 12 aren’t eligible for vaccination yet. We are all taking vitamins C and D, I am sure this is working we haven't had any Covid or Cold since we started taking these at the start of Covid. They have to be strong doses not just super market products we buy ours from Holland and Barretts. Expensive but worth it. I always take vitamin D C and Zinc plenty of fresh air fresh fruit and veg and I haven't a flu head cold in 20 months and I'm a chronic asthmatic a healthy immune system can fight off any virus people don't need toxic jabs.

 Or did they catch him? Because they didn't have forensic evidence ready in January after arresting him in December... I've read a few articles and its all very vague. This 'man' may well be at fault for a lot more than just these 2 crimes.  I find her funny and understand her perfectly..but I'm used to working around and having family with differently abled people of all types , including totally non verbal so I've got an advantage in that sense...would be amazing if others in society had that opportunity too. It certainly improved my life. Mitch Bissett im deaf and waer hearing aids for my work but im not speach impaired, we have a regular customer who cant speak properly so its lip reading mode when that gets too much for him we write it down!

Who are we to judge their efforts to combat poverty when we have a homelessness epidemic that is being taken advantage of by non-profit and for-profit industries that do nothing to solve the problem. Meanwhile we have more empty homes than homeless people for the simple fact that the empty homes are profitable for banks to hold as equity. Who are we to judge when we have WAY more covid deaths than they do despite having a fraction of their population? Who are we to judge when people in our country are drowning in debt for having the audacity to go to a doctor when they fell sick from disease that was no fault of their own? Who are we to judge when our people are shackled with lifelong debt for getting an education that they were told would guarantee them a job only to find out those jobs pay sub-living wages and they would have to compete to get?
