That's just so sad, this 'new' benefit system needs looked at as a matter of urgency, this will not be the only case of people dying or having serious difficulties, people need to report on anything they are aware of, inundated the dwp until they do something constructive, we cant allow this to happen again.

 He should of had a case worker looking after him and making sure he was ok. Eating ok, receiving and taking his medication and thst he has the benefits he is entitled to. Mental health services in this country has always been a joke. Those who work in the profession are highly over loaded and seriously under funded. Tory austerity has made that scenario even worse. 93 men a week in the Uk alone suffering from mental health issues commit suicide. Not all of them are in benefits, not all of them have no family.

Without advocacy, concern, and support some people never had a chance. This is true for physically and mentally disabled people. I have a 19 year old son with muscular dystrophy. If I didn't fight just about every minute of every day he would be long dead. Without the support I have we both would be. It has virtually nothing to do with politics. Virtually nothing. Michael Cochrane, although I agree with you that we all have to take responsibility for ourselves, this gentleman was depressed and only recently released from a hospital.

Rey Trombetta, what he means is it doesn’t turn up on his Facebook feed as he can’t be arsed to go to the BBC news pages and look up France, so therefore that means it is not reported by the BBC.

 Do we really need a different reporter for national/local coverage of same stories? Also, is it really necessary to send reporters/camera crews out to locations when there is really no need - eg standing on motorway bridges commenting on weather/ road congestion etc when it could just be done as a studio report? Football coverage is vastly overdone with overpaid, verbose, egotistical pundits. I could go on.They could save quite a bit by getting rid of all the royal correspondents across the world. A different one every time they come on.

 I gave up about 20 yrs ago, I had at times been a very heavy smoker as a money broker in the seventies I was getting through eighty a day, I obviously did a lot of damage to my lungs and they will never heal properly, but unlike most ex-smokers I don't blame anyone but myself, the dangers were well known even since the 40s and the late King died of lung Cancer which was blamed partly on his smoking habit, so anyone that wants to sue a tobacco company for their stupidity should be sent packing. IF the lung stem cells are intact or not damaged then lungs will autorepair but if the stem cells are damaged it wont repair.
