I will never understand how working in finance till almost death is a desirable thing, a dream, a passion, a purpose. I’ll be unpopular but if you choose to devote your life to money making for big corporations, don’t complain if they suck the life out of you while they cover you with money. I have the highest education qualifications and still dream of half your salary. You could have chosen to be a teacher, a doctor, a nurse, a scientist, with less money but more life. Also if you survive and you’ll climb the career ladder you’ll probably treat your inferiors as you were treated, squeezing their life and disguising it as great work commitment. So there you go. This from the same BBC that tried to suggest earlier today that suicides because of lockdown haven't increased significantly. Going to light a candle and have thoughts and prayers for them and everyone who also died because they didn't recieve cancer treatment are you? Give me a break, I feel sick! I went into my own lockdown on 6 March. We could see it coming. We'd seen it in China, Italy and Spain. We had time to prepare.

 As a non white individual my answer is Asians. Racist and close minded. I find white people very accommodating though racist. I am fed up to see people fighting one another and these biggest and powerful bodies continue to zip their mouth. So what is the purpose of them to be there this is ridiculous. They are the ones who are supposed to stand up and say no this is unacceptable but they choose to glue their mouths. This shows they are the powerful drivers of racial discrimination.

 What a coincidence. KenSyl Rowan I sincerely doubt that KenSyl, covid-19 is mostly just a mild flu type illness for most people it in infects. If there was a massive worldwide outbreak of Ebola or some other horrific deadly virus then yes, we’d probably all get wiped out by it, but Covid isn’t deadly enough to be an apocalyptic virus... it will probably mutate again and again to be more transmissible but I doubt it’ll become deadlier. Now as science has been a complete debacle as regards controlling COVID, these trivial restrictions must be eased. Let us enjoy a bit before we die. A sorry tale indeed!  There is nothing more important than the individual freedom of choice, even if there is a so called deadly virus around (99% over of survival rate and still so deadly). Can't we sue China for bringing misery to the whole world? They knew of the virus early on but failed to inform the rest of the world until it's too late. And they jailed their own citizens for telling the truth. The thing is, if there is no international legal repercussion against China, there might be another deadlier virus otw in the future. And people criticize the US response, she was jailed for reporting on the China Virus, how is that okay. The Chinese response to this has been horrendous, sure they got it under control in China by killing, jailing and eliminating not only those that were Covid positive but by getting rid off all that would report on it.

  I always worried about how my ex husband could take our daughter to the toilet when out shopping. He said it was hard and he’d usually take her to the disabled loo. I don’t have a son but what do mums do with a 10 yr old son? He’s too old to go in the ladies but I’m sure as hell not letting him go to the gents on his own. Most toilets are dirty and yuck in this country. Going to the loo should not be something you put off or dread. There is no need for this and the UK are so behind in this. Nice clean family toilet rooms with proper baby changing tables (big enough for toddlers), and somewhere to put your baby when you need to go to the loo yourself. The amount of times I went home rather than go to a loo where I’d have to lie my baby on the floor so I could have a wee cos a pram wouldn’t fit in the room. I shop in taunton snd there is nowhere if you have a pram on your own.

 Shut up about it, because it was worse in the war. No wonder there are so many people with mental health issues, when we are told we cannot express our anxiety and stress. Annika and Laura have both made very valid points. Children have been disproportionately affected by this pandemic, mental health problems that arise in the younger years can affect the person into adulthood. School is also about development, our children aren't able to socialise properly with other children too. The wars were different- children and young people may have missed out on going to school but they still had opportunities to socialise with other children and it was fairly obvious to see and understand why they were in that situation when they saw buildings which had been bombed etc.

Education of children is important, but at the expense of parents jobs and economy thus leaving them worse of? Is that really in the interests of everyone? Surely the answer is write off the school year and everyone is 'held back' a year and we concentrate on getting economy back to then provide long term support for those kids that truly need it. Kyle Michael Well with parents home schooling and seeing what their kids are being taught in zoom classes parents are getting red pilled on how toxic modern academia is. Parents homeschooling their kids and teaching them to think for themselves stops the children from becoming drones to the elitists. It's not just about academic education.

The data is clear that it is age that is the greatest risk factor not profession. They need to continue with the current plan to vaccinate all over 50s first, as these make up 99% of deaths. Ammarah Sadiq Vaccinations are for those people who are most at risk from the disease itself. Teachers who are vulnerable will already be on the vaccination list.

 The clapping was an encouragement for all their work and a thank you from the population. Even a promise that we have understood and can start to make things better. Now we had time to react and little to nothing has been done to improve the working conditions for health care staff, to increase their meagre salaries or to make them feel appreciated through actions more meaningful and impactful than making noise slapping skin on skin from our windows with nothing much changing... Now the clapping is no longer a thank you, it's saying that we are not willing to do more than give them a socially distanced pat on the back though our applause. In two minds about this. What about suicide deaths? amounts of spousal/child abuse? The toll for deaths in 2020 HAS to include far more causes than actual covid. Everyone is drinking because there's literally nothing else to do and most people are depressed because they've lost their jobs or family members and bunch of other factors. I was very depressed after I lost my job In 2019 and then 2020 made things worse and I'm still struggling now but im looking forward to the future but I know how hard things can get and alcohol, drugs, smoke can just make things easier to deal with. No one wakes up and says that they want to become an addict life isn't perfect and some things are easier said than done.

She has always intentionally avoided being pigeonholed into one side of politics.
