British media is doing its best to help us understand the plight of Ukrainian people, telling us their stories, letting them speak, describing conditions in Ukraine. This morning Ben Wallace was asked about whether a hospital had been deliberately targeted because that would be a war crime. The ICC is already investigating. To anyone who has followed the atrocities committed against Palestinian people (not to mention Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Syria......) it's sickening that the suffering isn't acknowledged. Their voices are not heard, their deaths aren't reported. Even when deaths are reported the dead are labelled either "human shields" or "terrorists". Calls for sanctions against Israel go unanswered year after year. Calls for the ICC to investigate Israel's crimes are ignored or blocked by the US and the West. Worse than that anyone who speaks up for Palestinians risks being labelled antisemitic, risks their job and is subjected to hate on an almost daily basis.
