 How sad for these young innocent girls to be wed to goodness knows what and a complete stranger to her to boot. It’s definitely a man’s world with some countries and religions. This happened to a young girl who became my lodger after she had escaped her forced arranged marriage being taken to Pakistan and marrying her cousin who'm she'd never met. This was just after finishing school at 16. The intention was then to bring the cousin over to England. Her family left her in Pakistan for 6 months with this stranger. She finally escaped after 2/3 years by climbing out of the bedroom window with a few clothes in a binbag. She was a friend of a friend and begged me to stay in my spare bedroom. She'd never been in Christian white persons house before but adapted well. She finally got a divorce and married her boyfriend from school.

The same people who were wearing masks outdoors and boiling their shopping bags to decrease their risk by a tiny fraction are still not willing to reduce their air travel or car use. Insane. Humans live short lives, some unscrupulous individuals are more intent on making profit during their lives. This is the bigger issue than anything. They won't live to see the damage done by their mining, deforestation, land grabbing and cheap polluting manufacture, as well as simply ignoring the warnings. Until this is tackled we are all heading down that road.
