“At the same time, they gain exposure to a broad spectrum of library work – preservation, digital initiatives, educational outreach, information management – under the mentorship of expert curators and specialists.” The Junior Fellows will also be encouraged to participate in professional development opportunities designed to enhance their summer experience, including special tours, lectures and forums. More than 700 students applied for the program this year. All Junior Fellows will have an opportunity to present their most significant discoveries and accomplishments during the program at the Junior Fellows display day on Wednesday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in room 119 of the Library’s Thomas Jefferson Memorial Building.
