Putin knows this as much as NATO does, and he’ll use any retaliation to gather sympathy for Russia. Any next steps from western forces needs to be carefully calculated to avoid an all-out invasion. And as you can see - Russian Army hasn’t bombed anything (yet). US army starts bombing first.. From another point of view - those regions are mostly Russian populated. That sucks… Russian, Ukrainian, even us, Bulgarians, we are like brothers/cousins. Fighting amongst us is stupid. Yes, we are divided by opinions whether Western politics is better or Eastern.
